Phase 5: Reflect: Written Reflection

Personal Reflection of Inquiry Project:

Through a long period of conducting my inquiry project, I think a word can summary my feeling toward it is “complicated.” Not only for the process of five phrases is complicated, from ask, to investigate, then create, discuss, and reflect, each phrase need us to design the logic and content. But also, my feeling is ever-changing. When I have no idea of how to conduct my project, I will feel frustrated, it could be fear of the coming of due day or unsatisfied mark.  However, when I figure out how to write each phrase, I am excited and happy because my original purpose of coming to Canada is to learn the western teaching methods. And, I will put what I have learn about the B.C curriculum into practice when I come back to China.

Honestly, the most difficult challenge is the design of each phase of the project. The very first step is so important because it means from the zero and it will determine the direction of the following. If I started again from the very beginning, I will set up a schedule of the due date of each phrase because time management is also a crucial skill for everyone. I have underestimated how many time it will cost me to finish the whole assignment. And, I may do an online questionnaire of Chinese people’s opinions of western education and how much do they know about it.

Finally, I am still wondering how would a teacher use the principles of learning theory to better educate their students when I relate to my G.C.E.S course of learning about learning.  Mentioned below is my favorite learning theory, they are behavior learning theory, cognitive learning theory, and constructivism learning theory.
